O-304

Elite Research

O-304 is also known as ATX-304 or OS-01.It serves as a first-in-class, orally bioavailable pan-activator of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK), a key enzyme that regulates cellular energy balance by promoting catabolic processes like glucose uptake, fatty acid oxidation, and mitochondrial biogenesis while inhibiting anabolic pathways such as lipid synthesis

O-304 mimics the metabolic effects of exercise or caloric restriction without relying on upstream signals like elevated AMP/ATP ratios

Preclinical data from diet-induced obesity research has shown

Obesity: Reduces body weight (up to 15%), fat mass, food intake, and liver lipid accumulation via increased thermogenesis and lipolysis with enhanced outcomes when combined with GLP-1 agonists like Retatrutide, Semaglutide etc.

Cardiometabolic Health: Improves glucose homeostasis, microvascular perfusion in skeletal muscle (countering insulin resistance), and blood pressure via smooth muscle relaxation, protects against acute kidney injury and age-related kidney decline
