Melanotan 2

Elite Research

Melanotan 2 is a synthetic peptide analog of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone and was originally developed in the 1980s at the University of Arizona for its potential to promote skin tanning without sun exposure

It works by stimulating melanocortin receptors (MC1, MC3, MC4, MC5), primarily MC1R, to increase melanin production, leading to darker skin pigmentation

It has also been researched for treating erectile dysfunction

Research participants in research studies over seen by professionals reported the following effects from supervised use of MT2

Induces skin darkening, often used with UV exposure (sun or tanning beds) for enhanced results. Typically administered via subcutaneous injection or nasal spray, with tanning effects visible after a few doses

Stimulates spontaneous erections (priapism) and increases libido

May suppress appetite and is currently being studied for reducing compulsive behaviors and alcohol intake
