MOTS-C

Elite Research

MOTS-c is a small peptide encoded by the mitochondrial genome. It’s a 16-amino-acid peptide that acts as a signaling molecule, influencing metabolism and cellular stress responses

MOTS-c enhances insulin sensitivity, promotes glucose uptake, and improves energy metabolism. It activates the AMPK (AMP-activated protein kinase) pathway, which is crucial for energy balance and fat metabolism

It mimics some effects of exercise by improving mitochondrial function and increasing energy expenditure, making it a potential therapeutic for obesity and type 2 diabetes

MOTS-c may protect against age-related diseases by reducing oxidative stress and inflammation, supporting mitochondrial health

Muscle and Fat Tissue Effects: It enhances muscle performance and reduces fat accumulation, particularly in high-fat diet conditions

Research application

Copied from the handbook as research notes. and not instructions.

  • 10mg vial of MOTS-c
  • Reconstitution volume: 2mL of BAC water
  • 1 mg = 20 units
  • 2 mg = 40 units
  • 5 mg = 100 units
  • Common range: 5-10 mg per dose, 2-3 times per week (or daily lower amounts 200-1,000 mcg per day)
  • High range: 10-20mg 2-3 times per week

Unless other wise noted intermuscular (IM) peptides are commonly administered via subcutaneous (SQ) injection with 30-31 gauge syringes
