T3
Elite ResearchT3 or triiodothyronine is the active thyroid hormone. It is researched (usually as synthetic liothyronine / Cytomel) primarily during cutting phases to raise metabolic rate and accelerate fat loss
The thyroid produces mostly T4 (thyroxine), which is converted in the body to the more potent T3. T3 increases basal metabolic rate (calories burned at rest), heat production (thermogenesis), and fat breakdown (lipolysis). T3 is researched to push metabolism higher than normal, especially when calories are restricted, fat can be lost faster while trying to keep as much muscle as possible making it one of the more common “fat-loss” agents used in physique sports
Research application
Copied from the handbook as research notes. and not instructions.
Always treat any dosage information as what has been observed in research and not instructional
- Starting dose: Often 12.5 mcg per day (or sometimes 20 - 25 mcg)
- Typical working range: 25 - 50 mcg per day
- Escalation approach is typically used beginning low and increased by 12.5 mcg every few days until reaching the target dose
- Practical use is capped around 50 mcg/day Higher amounts are more risky for muscle loss and side effects
Cycles are typically 4–8 weeks followed by a gradual taper rather than abrupt stopping because exogenous T3 suppresses the body’s own thyroid production
Unless other wise noted intermuscular (IM) peptides are commonly administered via subcutaneous (SQ) injection with 30-31 gauge syringes
