AOD-9604

Elite Research

AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide derived from a fragment of human growth hormone (hGH), specifically the amino acids 177-191 at the C-terminus

It was originally developed as an anti-obesity drug to promote fat loss by mimicking the fat-burning properties of hGH without its other effects, such as increasing insulin-like growth factor-1 (IGF-1) levels or impacting blood sugar regulation

AOD-9604 works by stimulating lipolysis (the breakdown of fats) and inhibiting lipogenesis (the formation of new fat). It targets adipose tissue, enhancing fat metabolism, and has shown potential in reducing body fat

  • A 23-week human trial showed an average weight reduction of 2.8 kg with 1 mg daily AOD-9604 compared to 0.8 kg with placebo

AOD-9604 may also support joint and cartilage health, with some studies suggesting regenerative properties for conditions like osteoarthritis

Research application

Copied from the handbook as research notes. and not instructions.

  • 5 mg of AOD-9604
  • Reconstitution volume: 2 mL of acetic acid solution
  • 200mcg = 8 units
  • 300mcg = 12 units

Typical dosages for AOD-9604 range from 200-300 mcg per day, administered via subcutaneous injection, often once daily in the morning on an empty stomach

Unless other wise noted intermuscular (IM) peptides are commonly administered via subcutaneous (SQ) injection with 30-31 gauge syringes
