Fladrafinil

Elite Research

Fladrafinil is a synthetic eugeroic (wakefulness-promoting) compound related to adrafinil and modafinil. It was developed in the 1970s by Lafon Laboratories as a potential treatment for narcolepsy. It is primarily used non-medically as a nootropic

Fladrafinil acts as a dopamine reuptake inhibitor, increasing dopamine levels in the brain, which enhances wakefulness, motivation, and mood

It increases norepinephrine and histamine levels, contributing to alertness and focus

Enhances glutamatergic synaptic transmission, potentially improving memory and learning via AMPA and NMDA receptor modulation

Unlike modafinil, it may have anti-aggressive effects

Benefits of use include

Wakefulness: May reduce fatigue and promote alertness, potentially useful for narcolepsy, shift work sleep disorder, or excessive daytime sleepiness

Cognitive Enhancement: Improves focus, memory retention, and mental acuity, per user reports

Mood and Motivation: Increases dopamine, leading to elevated mood and drive

Neuroprotection: Preclinical studies suggest it may reduce oxidative stress in neurons
