Sana (MVD-1)

SANA, also known as MVD-1, is an experimental oral drug being developed for obesity & metabolic disease. It’s a small molecule derived from salicylic acid not a peptide

It works by stimulating creatine dependent thermogenesis a process in fat cells that uses energy to produce heat, increasing calorie expenditure

Studies showed weight loss without reduced food intake, along with improvements in insulin resistance & fatty liver

In a published Phase 1 human trial, SANA/MVD-1 was taken orally at these doses:

  • 100mg every 12 hours - 15 days
  • 150mg/12hrs - 15 days
  • 200mg/12hrs - 15 days
  • Adverse side effects have been observed at 800mg and up

Unless other wise noted intermuscular (IM) peptides are commonly administered via subcutaneous (SQ) injection with 30-31 gauge syringes
